The 2016 Cross Country event is happening this Wednesday. Fingers crossed for good weather. The students have all been training hard and are eager to get started. Below is the notice that was sent out a couple of weeks ago. There will be about 5 minutes in between each race. Between each section there will be a medal presentation for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

This year our annual Ilam School Cross Country event is going to be held on Wednesday 13th April beginning at 1:15pm. There are 2 postponement days Thursday 14th and Friday 15th April.
Students will all take part in the event in year groups. The timetable is below.
On the day students will need to be wearing their house colours and appropriate shoes for running. Please make sure you have a top to keep warm while waiting for your race to start.

This year we have changed the race track and all students apart from Room 13, 14, 16 & 17 will be running through part of the University grounds. We would love to have volunteers to help ensure the safety of all students along the track. Please contact Linda Ewen either by email linda.ewen@ilam.school.nz or in Room 19 to let her know your availability.

Students in Year 5-6 who compete well in this event will be chosen to participate in the Zone Cross Country event early in Term 2.
